Meanwhile uses are an important step in allowing the site to re-open for public use once again. The planning and construction stages of a project of this scale can take some time to implement and therefore temporary uses have been planned to reactivate this public realm and allow people to explore the site and learn about the exciting developments that are taking place.

Let us take you on a journey. This temporary installation starts at a beautiful sunflower patch that brings a burst of colour and signals the blooming of a new era for Silvertown Quays. These flowers will be working overtime as whilst they're looking lovely on your Instagram page, they'll be soaking up all the toxins left over from the sites industrial past.

The level, accessible walking trail will lead you further into the adventure as you pass Silo D and see Millennium Mills on the skyline in the background. Small circular decks provide the perfect meeting place for a coffee, book club or group exercise class and can be used free of charge throughout the day.

As you approach the waters edge, you will start to see the amazing floating vegetable beds growing an array of fresh produce. These special little beds thrive in the water and require virtually no resources, making them a perfect way to nourish our community as well as the planet.

As you near the end of your adventure, you can choose to either try some of this tasty food in our pop up restaurant or shop in the weekly outdoor market where you can browse the best locally produced goods and take them home for yourself.

Enjoy!
